Prime Minister Sali Berisha received a delegation from the SIVA Partners investment management firm headed by its President Simon Elyakim. They presented to the prime minister a major project in the field of tourism and entertainment entitled The Millennium Casino & Resort.

This is a new American investment company targeting favorable countries to implement their major projects.

President Elyakim presented to PM Berisha the 2 billion USD project in the field of tourism and entertainment entitled The Millennium Casino & Resort which consists of building a tourist resort of villas and hotels, tennis courts and gold courses as well as a Casino. This project, said he, is the result of the favorable business climate in Albania, its geographic position and the very attractive climate for the tourists. He targets to create a major tourist centre in the Balkans.

Likewise, Mr. Elyakim presented to PM Berisha the investment portfolio of the Group in Albania in the fields of infrastructure, roads, railways where it is included even Albania-Kosova railway as well as other works like tunnels, ports, hydrocarbon works, the Albpetrol privatization included. The Group expressed an interest even in building of Tirana tram. He said to the prime minister that following several studies conducted in the region, the Group selected Albania as the most suitable country for their investments.

PM Berisha thanked the representatives of the Group for the preliminary job done and for choosing Albania as the main country for investments in major projects. He acquainted them with Albania concrete investment potentials in many fields like in infrastructure, roads, ports, the field of renewable energy, hydropower plants, wind facilities, railways.
